HEPES is a multi-purpose biological buffer that is often used to maintain physiological pH and an ideal environment for cell growth. HEPES is widely used in bioprocess and diagnostic markets such as cell culture, tissue culture, protein purification, cell lysis, immunoprecipitation and live cell imaging. HEPES buffers (international cosmetic raw material name: hydroxyethyl piperazine ethanesulfonic acid) can also be used in combination with other raw materials to support the quality and performance of skin care and cosmetics.
HEPES Biologics Plus grade buffers are manufactured at ANGUS 'facility in Stirlington and comply with ANGUS' uniform global quality management system, including ISO 9001:2015 certified production process monitoring and plant control systems. The comprehensive test program uses validated assay methods including endotoxins, microbial loadings, DNase, RNase, protease, and yeast/mold to support customer validation.
